The La Crosse Dive Unit Needs your help
The Dive Unit is looking for a more permanent home for its Rescue Truck, Boat, Trailer and other Team property. Currently, a local business provides temporary storage space in the downtown area. For a more permanent home, the team is looking for either of the following:
a. A donated/inexpensive building with a garage door and space for a 22 foot boat, trailer and ambulance type vehicle. Ideally, this would be heated since the vehicle is diesel and most of our equipment is temperature sensitive.
b. Donation/inexpensive land in which the team could construct a building.
Ideally, the location for this would range from Gundersen Lutheran Hospital on the South end on La Crosse, to the I-90 Bridge on the north end.
The Dive Unit has been able to raise (through donations) some money for this project. Though we are still very short to purchase a building or land. This is why we are asking for the building and/or the land to be donated. The Dive Unit can then focus on upgrading the interior part of the building with the donations we continue to collect.
